Quick question for the teachers out there.

Hello Everyone,
I've been looking for a text book from my educational years to read to my son. Its was a collection of short stories and poetry by Canadian authors, it contained such gems as "The Fatalist", "The Jersey" and "On laying in Bed" as well as many other fav's. Does this ring any bells out there, or anything else that contains these stories?
Take Care
CG
Thanks

Do you mean "The Hockey Sweater" story? I have that one in a collection of stories by that author. I have a couple other anthologies of short stories by Canadian authors, but I don't know that they would be appropriate for children.

Yes, it was the hockey sweater. Obviously discretion would need to be exercised in reading anything to children, but many of the stories I was speaking about would be suitable in my opinion.

The book you are looking for is called "Literary Essays and Short Stories." It's available online from abebooks.com and Chapters.
