Just a couple of hints.

Hello Everyone,
Well, the secret remains as not everyone has been informed of the situation so all I can do is drop a few hints.
In this location during the summer you will get a continues stream of 1344 hours of light before the sun sets.
In the winter you'll be in polar twilight for 720 hours till the sun rises again.
If you left Toronto you could be at our door having driven 6,602 km in a astounding 58 hours straight. And yes you can drive the whole way for 10 months of the year. The other 2 months you'd come up 1/4 mile short.
Any guesses?

Our New Home

Hello everyone,
Sorry for the long delay between postings but we've been very busy here dealing with work and packing. It seems the thinking is that everyone in the world wants to manage a huge retail big box experience and by moving someone smaller then "that'll teach em". However I have done the huge retail experience, and done it well according to my staff and superiors, I came north to manage a environment with more of a old time feel, beyond the interference of corporate politics and outsider interference. Now my new posting is to manage a environment that perfectly fits these standards, one where there does not seem to be a opportunity for me to be dependent on others support for my success or failure. The problem is they will review my performance and evaluate if I should return to a larger environment in the future.... Not likely, if I have anything to do with it. The new location is almost perfect for me and my family, where I can maintain my standards, service my customers and enjoy the north without the challenges of a large staff base or management failure's. I'm going to enjoy when they think they will be able to get me to leave this location after I have proven my performance.
I'm not allowed to disclose the location we are moving to yet but there's no rule against a few generalizations. We are returning to a area far north of the arctic circle (yeah), we will actually have tree's and we will be moving to the other side of the country.

Boys and their toys,

Here is a really nice gas powered remote control car that we found wandering the neighborhood the other day, Mommy and Christopher are seen in the right of the photo watching the owner systematically attempt to destroy his car, It did survive, barely.
For the last week a team of diving instructors ave been in town giving free diving lessons to any locals interested. Seems that last year they sent a group south for lessons but the weather didn't allow them to finish training so this year they came up.
This would be my neighbor coming home from the last 2 months that he has been camping on the land.

Hello Everyone,
Well this week has been a difficult one for everyone. We expect this week to find out where we'll be heading next, at long last. One thing I'm growing very tired of with this company is their constant inability to commit to moving people in a timely manner. Its more of a quest you come to believe, it feels like you have to walk the path of faith, then talk to the wiseman, who will guide you to the riddler, who will impose a quest upon you to find the secret knowledge and with this completed, maybe someone will call you this week. It seems strange that a company that can master the logistic's of far north shipping is incapable of treating their management staff with any level of professional respect. Anyways, as soon as we hear it'll be time to start packing again. More when we hear the news.... maybe.

Juneau

Hello Everyone,
Today is a very quiet and sad day here. Today was Juneau's last day with us. She has been a part of of our family for the last 12 years or so. We wish her Godspeed on the next leg of her journey.
We love you and miss you.

Just another beautiful sunset, from our front deck. Beauty is everywhere in life once you allow yourself to see it.
This is Karosiq, a nine year old sled dog that patrols our end of town. He's a very interesting dog, never seems to
stop patrolling, never barks and always seems to have dominance over any other dog he meets but as we just found out he is not a lead dog but a middle dog. He also recently escorted my wife and child out of a uncomfortable situation, then returned to his patrols without a look over his shoulder.
Hello Everyone,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTOPHER
5 short years as of 12:36 pm today.

Just a few changes

Hello everyone,
As some of you have noticed I've been making changes to the blog lately, I've been triing to tweak it in logical ways that make it easier for what my readers seem to be doing while here. Today I moved the Photo section to the bottom of the page and switched off the autoplay option as some of my viewers still are using dialup and this was causing a slow page load. All you have to do is click on the play icon at the bottom of the page, I also increased the photo gallery size. I would like some feedback regarding these changes, which do you prefer and what could I do to make my readers lives easier.

PS. You'll now see the latest feedback at the top of the sidebar, where you can find answers to your questions without surfing all over looking.
