Sunday Musings

I really don't want to know what this raven is eating.

The mail on final approach.

This is Martina loading up this weeks mail. Okay, Actually the guy loading the car isn't Martina, she must be the person hidden behind the helicopter.

Here we watch Christopher pondering if this is the puddle worth the trouble the trouble he'll get in for jumping into it. Turns out it was worth the consequences.

This is the back of just about every vechicle in town, looks like the muddy season has definitely arrived. I just had to order some rubber boots online, as I've made it this far without them, however it seems they'll be essential from here on in.

I went to the school to take some test pic's as it appears I'll be doing the school photo's this year. He's one of Christopher.

Hello Everyone,

Another week of break up is completed. The river moved 5 feet or so on Thursday morning so things seems to be progressing as expected. The town has been fairly quiet until the ducks and geese started arriving later in the week, then the town was awash in plans for hunting through the long weekend.
Something I had never noticed in our years up here is that the birds up here don't follow a day/night schedules anymore, Once the sun fails to set they seem to make their own hours, I can't believe I didn't notice this earlier but last night I was on the balcony at 2:00 am and you could still hear all the birds around singing. The snow in town has mostly thawed except for area's with large drifts. This afternoon I'm going to have a BBQ and tomorrow I hope to get out on the town and see what we can get some photo's of.
Take Care

So how did the BBQ go? Lissa was implying it could be kind of sketchy - having spent several northern winters outside, missing knobs, and anything else resembling "luxuries"...

Still got your eyebrows?
