Glad to hear that you arrived safe and sound. It appears that by your comments, that you are looking forward to your stay in your new residence.

Just wondering if there is an easy way to pronounce your new town.

Can't wait to see pictures and hear all about this place.

BTW - We are experiencing another warm trend and temps are supposed to be above freezing pretty much all this week.

Talk to you later ---- Rosalie

Yes there is a easier way to say the name, Wakeham Bay. The name was this originally and changed to a traditional Inuktituk name when people got sick of a town named after a 18 century english captain. Could be worse though, the next town down thye coast's Inuktituk name means Tapeworm (which leads me to ask a question, since the town north of us on the coast's name means "thin peole" are the two related?).

Glad to hear you made it! I even tried finding the store's phone number online to call you (was going to have you paged at work - say Wife #2 was calling (weg)... but it just doesn't seem to be listed anywhere!

To Rosalie - pass along Melissa's phonetic trick:
kanga - sue - joe - whack!

It's stuck in all our minds!

By the way... where were you stuck for those days of cancelled flights? Did you find out in Montreal and stay there? Or was it at one of the stops along the way? Does this mean you got to experience any other communities on the way up?

Hello Tina,
Actually we could have been stranded in Montreal... however, we were sick of the south and choose to get stranded in Kuujaaq for two days. I don't know what that says about us anymore.
